Abandoned before he could care for himself, Wang was picked up by a group who was paid by the local government to comb the streets for orphans and unwanted children. Sold to the Dragon and Phoenix circus, he was given tasks no one else wanted. As he grew, he demonstrated a strength that belied his size. For a time, he served as the circus strong man, but a mixture of clumsiness and bad luck landed him back in duties feeding and mucking the stalls of the yakadons along with other assorted labor. For the most part, he is liked among his peers for his benign demeanor. Mochi is often hard on him because she distrusts monkeys and he manages to bungle most every task she gives him.
